BIG news

So, I got something BIG to tell. It's been couple of days quiet here, but now the wait is worth it. You wanna hear what it is? It is this:

After many years I've returned to my roots. There is a new member to my family: MV Agusta Brutale 675. She came home couple of weeks ago, and now she is finally registered, insured and has a new license plate. I call her Brutale. She is hungry, she is thirsty and she is angry. I think I fell in love with her. She is still leashed as the previous owner didn't have the license to drive a "full" bike, but once I get her unleashed, she will be unstoppable. She is eager to go to the curves and she hugs my frame with her design. We are a good fit and I'm sure we will have fun together. Brutale and me, two foreign ladies cruising the curvy roads.

Minulla on ISOJA uutisia. Täällä on ollut taas hiljaista muutaman päivän ajan, mutta tällä kertaa odotus on sen arvoinen. Haluatko kuulla mistä on kyse? Tästä: 

Monien vuosien jälkeen olen palannut juurilleni. Perheessäni on uusi jäsen: MV Agusta Brutale 675. Se saapui kotiin pari viikkoa sitten, ja nyt se on vihdoin rekisteröity, vakuutettu ja siinä on uusi rekisterikilpi. Sen nimi on Brutale. Se on nälkäinen, se on janoinen ja se on vihainen. Luulen että rakastuin siihen. Se on edelleen kuristettu sillä edellisellä omistajalla ei ollut oikeutta ajaa isoa pyörää, mutta jahka puran kuristuksen, siitä tulee pysäyttämätön. Se on halukas painamaan mutkiin ja se halaa minua designillaan. Olemme hyvä pari ja olen varma että meillä tulee olemaan hauskaa yhdessä. Brutale ja minä, kaksi ulkomaalaista naista kurvailemassa mutkapätkiä. 

Malta, vol2

As great day Saturday was, Sunday was equally awesome. We had booked us a trip to the Blue Lagoon by a speedboat!!

When we took off, the driver? Captain? Said the best words ever: it's gonna be loud, it's gonna be bumpy, it's gonna be fast and it's gonna be wet. And it was all that and it was AWESOME!!!!!! One can seldom enjoy themselves as much as we enjoyed ourselves :D 

Blue Lagoon was true to it's name. Stunning place with turquoise waters. Badly overcrowded as it is the peak of the tourist season though. And yes: I did also swim in the sea! First time ever, and I have to say that seawater is very salty :D 

In the evening we went for a dinner in nice restaurant in Valletta. It was very, very beautiful there. 

I had a blast and will definitely go back again. There were tons of things we want to do and just didn't have time now. Great time, great company and lots of laughter - what else can you ask for? Thank you Katja for everything - giving me a place to sleep, spending time with me, all the laughter and great company!!

Niin mahtava päivä kuin lauantai olikin, sunnuntai oli aivan yhtä mahtava. Olimme buukanneet meille reissun Blue Lagoonille muskeliveneellä!!

Kun lähdimme satamasta, kuski? Kapteeni? Sanoi parhaat sanat ikinä: tästä tulee äänekästä, tästä tulee pomppuista, tästä tulee nopeaa ja tästä tulee märkää. Ja se oli niitä kaikkia ja se oli MAHTAVAA!!!!!! Harvoin voi nauttia olostaan yhtä paljon kuin me venematkan aikana :D 

Blue Lagoon oli nimensä veroinen. Tyrmäävän upea turkooseilla vesillä. Pahasti ruuhkainen kuitenkin koska turistikausi on huipussaan. Ja kyllä: uin myös meressä! Ensimmäistä kertaa ikinä, ja on sanottava että merivesi on todella suolaista :D 

Illalla menimme illalliselle ihanaan ravintolaan Vallettassa. Siellä oli todella, todella kaunista.

Minulla oli todella hauskaa ja ehdottomasti menen takaisin uudestaan. Emme ehtineet tehdä lähellekään kaikkea mitä halusimme. Mahtava viikonloppu, mahtavaa seuraa ja paljon naurua - mitä muuta voi pyytää? Kiitos Katja kaikesta - yösijasta, yhdessä viettämästämme ajasta, kaikesta naurusta ja mahtavasta seurasta!!

Malta, vol1

It's again been few days of silence in my blog. Again I've been traveling! This time I flew to Malta to visit a friend for a weekend. I have never been in Malta, and it was awesome! It was sunny, it was hot, it was salty, it was sunny and it was sunny. Did you understand that it was sunny? Let me repeat one more time: it was sunny :D It was such a great weekend that it feels like I've been away for two weeks instead of two days!

I have missed sea. Even though in Finland I never swam in the sea, I have always loved the sound of sea, the scent of it and the sheer relentless power of it. And here it's everywhere. 

On Saturday we went to the pool and spent the whole day there. I bought myself bikinis just for this trip, and they did come in a lot of use. I don't really know how to swim, but this kind of swimming is definitely something I can relate to. No real swimming, just hanging in the water. Awesome!

In the evening we had a BBQ party we were invited to. Was a fun evening and I got to take my white pretty dress out!

Jälleen blogini on ollut hiljaa. Jälleen olen matkustellut! Tällä kertaa lensin Maltalle tapaamaan ystävääni viikonlopuksi. En ole koskaan ollut Maltalla, ja se oli ihan mahtavaa! Siellä oli aurinkoista, siellä oli kuumaa, siellä oli suolaista, siellä oli aurinkoista ja siellä oli aurinkoista. Ymmärsittekö että siellä oli aurinkoista? Toistan vielä kerran: siellä oli aurinkoista :D Viikonloppu oli niin mahtava että tuntuu kuin olisin ollut pois kaksi viikkoa kahden päivän sijaan! 

Olen kaivannut merta. Vaikka Suomessa en koskaan uinutkaan meressä, olen aina rakastanut meren ääntä, sen tuoksua ja sen silkkaa periksiantamatonta voimaa. Ja täällä se on kaikkialla. 

Lauantaina menimme uima-altaalle ja vietimme koko päivän siellä. Ostin itselleni bikinit vain tätä reissua varten, ja ne olivatkin runsaassa käytössä. En osaa oikein uida, mutta tämänkaltainen uiminen on juuri sellaista joka sopii minulle. Ei oikeaa uimista, mutta vedessä lillumista. Mahtavaa! 

Illalla meidät oli kutsuttu grillijuhliin. Ilta oli hauska ja sain taas ulkoiluttaa valkoista nättiä mekkoani!

Finnish guests

I had the honor to host some Finnish guests on Monday evening. They were traveling through Europe by car, and had asked before if other Finnish people would be willing to lend them a hand: help them to do their laundry and maybe give a place to sleep for one night. I volunteered if they needed a place here in Munich. They reached out to me, and in the end schedules matched and they came to my place for the evening. We did laundry, I cooked us some dinner and we chatted. I felt like an ancient dinosaur beside my young guests, but we had lots of fun and it was great talking Finnish for one evening!

Sain kunnian emännöidä iltaa maanantaina. Suomalainen pariskunta oli lomamatkalla ympäri Euroopan autollaan, ja olivat aiemmin kyselleet muilta suomalaisilta mahdollisuutta auttaa: pyykinpesua tai mahdollisesti yösijaa yhdeksi yöksi. Tarjouduin vapaaehtoiseksi mikäli tarvitsevat paikkaa täällä Münchenissä. He ottivat yhteyttä, ja loppujen lopuksi aikataulut täsmäsivät ja he tulivat luokseni illaksi. Pesimme pyykkiä, kokkasin meille illallista ja juttelimme. Tunsin itseni ikälopuksi dinosaurukseksi nuorten vieraideni rinnalla, mutta meillä oli oikein hauskaa ja oli mahtavaa puhua suomea yhden illan ajan!

Tollwood

So me and my friend took another try to find the goddamn Tollwood booths. This time we succeeded, and spent great few hours there! Weather was pretty nice, around 20 degrees and no rain despite the forecasts.

And luckily I found some earrings. It was a good thing as I don't have any...

Minä ja ystäväni otimme uuden yrityksen löytääksemme pahuksen Toolwoodin myyntikojut. Tällä kertaa onnistuimme, ja vietimme mahtavat muutamat tunnit siellä! Sää oli aika miellyttävä, lämmintä 20 asteen hujakoilla eikä sadetta huolimatta ennustuksista. 

Ja onneksi löysin muutamia korviksia. Minulla pololla kun ei ole entuudestaan niitä...

Madrid

So last week was very busy. I had a visitor: this great Finnish girl who needed a place to stay for a few days and I needed someone to take care of my puppies while I went to Madrid to visit my good friend for the weekend. I took off on Friday and landed in the middle of thunderstorms. It was great to see her again!

She lives close the mountains. I do like the sceneries. 

Then it was time to hit the shops. I must admit, we might've gone a bit crazy at the outlet. 

But it was awesome! And we made some really cool findings! 

Yes. I did buy just a few pairs of shoes... And I was traveling only with my carry-on luggage. I had to do some miracles when I packed, but I was able to fit everything in. We also had one birthday party to go to on Saturday, and I had a chance to take my new white dress out.

Eli viime viikko oli hyvin kiireinen. Minulla oli vieras: mahtava suomalainen tyttö joka tarvitsi yösijaa muutamaksi päiväksi ja minä tarvitsin jonkun hoitamaan ipanoita sillä aikaa kun olin vierailulla hyvän ystäväni luona Madridissa. Lähdin perjantaina ja laskeuduin keskelle ukkosmyrskyjä. Mutta olipa mahtavaa nähdä häntä pitkästä aikaa!

Hän asuu lähellä vuoria. Pidän maisemista.

Sitten oli aika lähteä ostoksille. On myönnettävä, mopo saattoi ehkä hieman lähteä käsistä outletissa. 

Mutta oli mahtavaa! Ja teimme muutamia todella hyviä löytöjä!

Kyllä. Ostin muutaman kenkäparin... Ja matkustin vain käsimatkatavaroilla. Pakatessa piti tehdä ihmeitä, mutta sain kaiken mahtumaan. Menimme myös eräisiin syntymäpäiväjuhliin lauantaina, ja uusi valkoinen mekkoni pääsi ulkoilemaan. 

Wonder Woman

Again it's been busy days. I will later tell why, but first a quick post about going to the movies. I went to see WonderWoman last week's Sunday. Sure, it was not a bad one by no means, but I have to say I was disappointed. It was great to see a woman in such a strong leading role, but at the same time the big decision, the sacrifice was made - again - by a man. The movie concentrated also way too much to the second world war and I am not really fond of war movies. Some animation was also surprisingly crappy, so overall I wasn't overly impressed.

I did also assembly the last Ikea stuff, and finally arranged my books to a place they deserve. 

When I moved the books away from the wall they were previously stacked up against, I realized that they were very moist, almost wet. Some books were almost in ruins already. It is crazy that this place has so wet walls that even books get wet. I told about this at work, and I also told to my landlord. He told me to talk about this to the lady who takes care of the building. Lets see what that yields...

Päivät ovat jälleen olleet kiireisiä. Kerron myöhemmin miksi, mutta ensiksi vähän elokuvista. Kävin katsomassa WonderWomanin viikko sitten sunnuntaina. Ei se paska ollut, mutta täytyy sanoa että olin melko pettynyt. Oli mahtavaa nähdä nainen niin vahvassa pääroolissa, mutta samaan aikaan ison päätöksen, uhrauksen, teki kuitenkin - jälleen - mies. Elokuva keskittyi myös ihan liikaa toiseen maailmansotaan enkä ole kovin innostunut sotaelokuvista. Osa animaatiosta oli myös yllättävän kämäistä, joten en ollut kovinkaan vaikuttunut. 

Kun siirsin kirjojani toiseen paikkaan pois seinän vierestä jossa ne aiemmin olivat pinossa, tajusin että ne olivat hyvin kosteita, lähes märkiä. Osa kirjoista oli jo lähes pilalla. On hullua että tässä paikassa on niin märät seinät että jopa kirjat kastuvat. Kerroin tästä töissä, ja kerroin myös vuokraisännälleni. Hän kehotti puhumaan ensin rouvan kanssa joka huolehtii talon asioista. Katsotaan mitä siitä seuraa...
