Unleash the beast

Yesterday was THE day me and Brutale had been waiting for a month. She went to the bike shop to be unleashed. They also handled the safety check (TÜV). She did have some rubber parts that had to be changed in order to pass the check, and due to that reason she stayed at the shop one extra night. But now she is fixed, she is in top shape and she is full grown lady. And not just any lady but MY lady!

They said at the shop that her behavior doesn't change, she just has more power. I have to say that in my opinion she did change a bit. Not much, but it feels as if she is more stable now. Less jumpy. Still aggressive and hungry as she should be, but an inch easier to handle. I can't wait to take her to the curvy roads again to see what we can come up with!

Eilen oli SE päivä jota olemme odottaneet Brutalen kanssa kuukauden. Hän meni liikkeeseen kuristuksen purkuun. Liike hoiti myös katsastuksen. Brutaleen piti vaihtaa joitain kumiosia joita ilman katsastus ei menisi läpi, ja siksi hän jäi liikkeelle yhdeksi ylimääräiseksi yöksi. Mutta nyt Brutale on korjattu, huippukunnossa ja aikuinen leidi. Eikä mikä tahansa leidi vaan MINUN leidini!

Liikkeessä sanottiin ettei Brutalen käytös muuttuisi, voimaa vaan tulisi lisää. Minun on sanottava että mielestäni hän muuttui hieman. Ei paljoa, mutta ihan kuin hän olisi nyt tasaisempi. Vähemmän nykivä. Silti aggressiivinen ja nälkäinen kuten kuuluukin, mutta tuuman verran helpompi käsitellä. En malta odottaa että pääsen Brutalen kanssa mutkapätkille jotta näen millaista meillä on!

Brutale and curvy roads, again

On Sunday me and my beloved Brutale went riding again. A friend of mine took us with them, and it was so, so, SO great! The sceneries, the curves, the speed, the company. It was easily one of the best days I've had! Of course the bikes deserved their own picture.

Our first pitstop was at Spitzingsee. I just can't get enough of these sceneries. I mean, look at this!

And of course I needed my tourist pictures. 

Along the way we saw these crazy cool old timer classic cars. 

Then it was time to have lunch. We stopped at Thiersee, already across the Austrian border.

For dessert I took this rhubarb thing. I don't exactly know how it was made, but it was crazy good. 

Seriously, it was so awesome day. We had fun, I wasn't too slow, I gained a lot of confidence with my Brutale, sun was shining and it was warm. What else can you possibly need?

Sunnuntaina minä ja rakas Brutaleni menimme ajelemaan. Ystäväni otti meidät mukaansa, ja se oli niin, niin, NIIN siistiä! Maisemat, mutkat, vauhti, seura. Helposti yksi parhaista päivistä joita minulla on ollut! Ja tottakai pyörät ansaitsivat oman kuvansa. 

Ensimmäinen pysähdyspaikkamme oli Spitzingseellä. En vaan saa tarpeeksi näistä maisemista. Katsokaa nyt! 

Ja tottakai tarvitsin turistikuvani. 

Matkan varrella näimme sairaan hienoja vanhoja klassikkoautoja. 

Sitten oli aika syödä lounasta. Pysähdyimme Thierseellä, joka oli jo Itävallan rajan toisella puolen. 

Jälkiruuaksi otin raparperijuttua. En tarkalleen tiedä miten se oli valmistettu, mutta hullun hyvää se oli. 

Mutta oikeasti, päivä oli aivan mahtava. Meillä oli hauskaa, en ollut liian hidas, sain rutkasti lisää itseluottamusta Brutaleni kanssa, aurinko paistoi ja päivä oli lämmin. Mitä muuta voisi enää tarvita? 

Unluckiest production of them all

As I have mentioned few times, the production I'm working with has been a nightmare. Extremely difficult conditions, but like that is not enough, it's also been very unlucky. During late winter my editor hurt his knee while playing frisbee and was admitted to a hospital for a week. I went to visit him, of course.

A little bit over a week ago my animation director managed to get himself in a bicycle accident and he was admitted to a hospital. It luckily sounded more serious than it was (fraction in the skull), but he sure gave us a scare and caused me tons of headache in production. Things always get sorted out, and so it went down this time as well. I visited also him at the hospital, but let me tell you: I have visited way too many hospitals during one production!

Goodbyes

It seems that my life here has been a lot of saying goodbyes. This time it was Mafe, my trusted coordinator and someone I'm proud to call my friend. It was known for a long time that she will go and reach for her dreams. It made me cry when we said goodbye, as proud as I am of her. We of course had a team lunch and it was for her farewell. 

We had last week also a wrap up party to celebrate one of the projects being finished. 

Mafe, you are the best. You go girl, and you show them what you are made of. Don't forget to invite me to your restaurant's grand opening when it's time!

Elämäni täällä on ollut pitkälti jäähyväisiä. Tällä kertaa oli Mafen, luotetun koordinaattorini ja jota voin ylpeänä kutsua ystäväkseni, aika lähteä. Oli tiedossa jo kauan että hän lähtee tavoittelemaan unelmiaan. Jäähyväiset saivat minut itkemään, niin ylpeä kuin olenkin hänestä. Meillä oli tietenkin tiimilounas ja tällä kertaa lounas oli myös hänen jäähyväisiä varten. 

Viime viikolla meillä oli myös wrap up juhlat erään valmistuneen projektin kunniaksi. 

Mafe, olet paras. Mene ja näytä kaikille mistä sinut on tehty. Äläkä unohda kutsua minua ravintolasi avajaisiin kun on sen aika! 

Rest of Finland

As it was extremely hectic few days in Finland, I managed to spend one day with my godsons. We went to the movies like we usually do, and afterwards had burgers like we usually do.We saw Despicable Me 3, and it was hilarious!

We also met with my friends, and it was so great hanging out with them for a while! 

I also got my new eyelash extensions! How I have missed them. Then it was time to handle the final relocation. I had a moving company coming over to pack my stuff, and they spent 6 hours (!!!!) all in total with packing. 10m3 worth of dragon statues, decoration stuff, sofa, other small furniture and some arts and crafts stuff are heading to Germany. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture of the amount of stuff, but it is 49 moving boxes alone. So talking about stuff :D 

Rest of my time in Finland I spent with Sirkku. We went for a pizza, naturally. 

She did also take my new profile picture. Look how happy and content I look!!!

Vaikka aikani Suomessa oli hyvin kiireistä, vietin päivän kummipoikieni kanssa. Menimme elokuviin  kuten yleensä, ja jälkeenpäin hampurilaiselle kuten yleensä. Kävimme katsomassa Itse Ilkimys 3:n, ja se oli huikea! 

Tapasin myös ystäviäni, ja oli niin mahtavaa hengata heidän kanssaan! 

Sain myös uudet ripsenpidennykseni! Kuinka olenkaan kaivannut niitä. Sitten olikin aika järjestää lopullinen muutto. Muuttofirma tuli pakkaamaan tavarani, ja niillä meni siihen 6 tuntia (!!!!). 10 kuutiota lohikäärmepatsaita, sisustustavaraa, sohva, muuta pientä huonekalua ja loput askartelutavarat ovat tulossa Saksaan. Valitettavasti unohdin ottaa kuvan tavaramäärästä, mutta pelkästään laatikoita on 49 kappaletta. Joten kamaa riittää :D 

Lopun ajan Suomessa vietin Sirkun kanssa. Kävimme luonnollisesti pizzalla.

Finland - again

I have returned to Germany already on Wednesday, but the whole week has been unbelievable chaos and crisis after another. Now is the first chance to write updates!

Trip to Finland went great. I had a blast! I saw friends, I went to the movies, I spent time with my awesome godsons, I got new eyelash extensions. Lots! On Saturday I went to the movies with Sirkku in the evening. We saw Transformers, the latest one, and it was the worst movie I have ever seen. Seriously. And I specialize in bad action movies. I mean I don't need much to keep me happy. If the script has holes the size of a tank, I don't mind as long as they kick assess, they blow shit up and they use cliches. But this Transformers? It ass raped everything that is sacred, everything that is pure, everything that Transformers have always stood up for. I have not seen as confusing movie, and come on guys, it's not like it was the complicated plot of all times. At least I got to spend the evening with the best possible company <3

Olen palannut Saksaan jo keskiviikkona, mutta koko viikko on ollut yhtä uskomatonta kaaosta ja kriisiä kriisin perään. Nyt vasta on ensimmäinen tilaisuus kirjoittaa päivitys!

Matka Suomeen meni mahtavasti. Minulla oli todella hauskaa! Näin ystäviä, kävin elokuvissa, vietin aikaa mahtavien kummipoikieni kanssa, sain uudet ripsenpidennykset. Paljon kaikkea! Lauantaina menimme elokuviin Sirkun kanssa. Kävimme katsomassa uusimman Transformersin, ja se on eittämättä huonoin elokuva jonka olen koskaan nähnyt. Oikeasti. Ja olen sentään erikoistunut huonoihin toimintaelokuviin. En tarvitse paljoa pysyäkseni tyytyväisenä. Vaikka käsikirjoituksessa olisi tankin mentäviä reikiä, minua ei haittaa kunhan annetaan turpiin, räjäytellään asioita ja käytetään kliseitä. Mutta tämä Transformers? Se perseraiskasi kaiken mikä on pyhää ja puhdasta, kaiken mitä Transformers on aina ollut. En ole nähnyt yhtä sekavaa elokuvaa ja oikeasti, kyseessä nyt ei ole maailman monimutkaisin juoni. Ainakin sain sentään viettää illan parhaassa mahdollisessa seurassa <3

Studies, door signs and traveling

I have started my German lessons. I have a great private teacher and I go to her twice a week, 90min per session. She is confident that there is hope for me although my colleagues laugh at me as they think my pronunciation makes already aggressive sounding German even more aggressive :D I'm guessing the grammar will not be the problem as my teacher is very good, but for sure I will have problems with remembering all the words. Good thing is that I'm surrounded by this language, so maybe I'll learn bits and pieces.

Although I do feel like I'm 7 years old again and back to the first grade. Next time we will go through the alphabet. Exiting :D She did give me a tons of homework as well! 

And I consider this the final official sign that I'm staying and living here. May I present: the sign by the door. 

Today I'm packing my bags and flying to Finland. It's a short trip, only three full days, but it's fully packed. Apologies to those I don't have time to see, maybe next time. I have to handle my final relocation, and that has proven to be very time consuming. I will see my godsons, have a get-together with bunch of my friends, get lash extensions (priorities!!), go to the movies... All sorts of cool stuff and for the very first time I'm not pissed off about coming back to Finland! I guess it's because the in-between life has finally ended, my home is not in Finland anymore and I'm happier and more content than in ages. See you ladies on the other side, and more blog updates will follow after I've returned to Germany.

Olen aloittanut saksan tuntini. Minulla on mahtava yksityisopettaja ja käyn hänen luonaan kahdesti viikossa, 90 minuuttia per sessio. Hän on luottavainen sen suhteen että minulla on toivoa, vaikka kollegani nauravatkin lausumiselleni sillä heidän mielestään muutenkin aggressiivinen saksa kuulostaa vielä aggressiivisemmalta kun lausun :D En usko että kielioppi on ylivoimaista oppia sillä opettajani on todella hyvä, mutta takuulla ongelmia tulee siinä että miten muistan sanat. Hyvä puoli on se, että olen tämän kielen ympäröimä, joten ehkä opin palasia sieltä täältä. 

Tunnen oloni jälleen seitsemänvuotiaaksi ja takaisin ensimmäiselle luokalle. Seuraavalla kerralla käymme läpi aakkosia. Jännittävää :D Sain myös valtavan määrän kotiläksyjä! 

Ja tämä on viimeinen virallinen merkki siitä että jään tänne ja asun täällä. Saanko esitellä: nimikyltti ovikellon vieressä. 

Tänään pakkaan laukkuni ja lennän Suomeen. Reissu on jälleen lyhyt, vain kolme täyttä päivää, mutta ne ovat täyteen pakattu. Anteeksipyynnöt niille joita ei ole aikaa nähdä, ehkä sitten ensi kerralla. Järjestän lopullisen muuttoni, ja se on osoittautunut todella aikaa vieväksi. Näen kummipoikiani, tapaan ystäviäni, otan ripsenpidennykset (prioriteetit!!), käyn elokuvissa... Kaikkea hauskaa ja ensimmäistä kertaa minua ei ahdista tai vituta tulla Suomeen! Syy tähän lienee se, että väliaikainen elämä on vihdoin päättynyt, ja kotini ei ole enää Suomessa ja olen onnellisempi ja tyytyväisempi kuin aikoihin. Nähdään tytöt toisella puolella, ja lisää blogipäivityksiä seuraa kun olen taas palannut takaisin Saksaan.
