Summertime

It's summer. At least my nails say so! I made new nails last weekend to match the summer. I don't usually go with orange and red ombre, but this time they don't just match the summer, but also match the sunsets of Santorini... Yes, we are going to Santorini for a week! We leave tomorrow, and I can't wait. It's going to be awesome, and it seems my pink cloud doesn't get any less pink :D

As it was summer, and we have a big city to explore, we played our parts of tourists and went to Nymphenburg Palace last weekend. We didn't go inside the palace, but enjoyed the huge park around it. Lovely place, and something definitely worth of visiting again.

And right now we're on holiday. See you guys after our return, and be prepared for tons of pictures of palm trees, sunsets and sceneries!

Nyt on kesä. Ainakin kynsien mielestä! Tein viime viikonloppuna uudet kynnet jotka täsmäävät kesän kanssa. En yleensä tee oransseja punaisella liukuvärjäyksellä, mutta tällä kertaa ne eivät vain täsmää kesän kanssa, vaan myös Santorinin auringonlaskujen kanssa... Kyllä, me menemme Santorinille viikoksi! Lähdemme huomenna, enkä malta odottaa. Siitä tulee mahtavaa, eikä pinkki pilveni vaikuta muuttuvan yhtään vähemmän pinkiksi :D 

Koska on kesä, ja meillä on iso kaupunki tutkittavana, leikimme turisteja ja menimme Nymphenburgin palatsiin viime viikonloppuna. Emme menneet sisälle palatsiin, mutta nautimme suuresta puistosta sen ympärillä. Ihastuttava paikka, ja ehdottomasti uusintavierailun arvoinen. 

Ja juuri nyt olemme lomalla. Nähdään paluumme jälkeen ja varautukaa valtavaan määrään kuvia palmuista, auringonlaskuista ja maisemista! 

Movies, car washes and candy

We've again been going to the movies. I'm dragging my man to see almost every new movie that's out there as movies are my thing. We saw the new Avengers couple of weeks ago. It was really, really good. Very dark, lots of killing and most of all: they killed lot of the main heroes. Obviously they will bring back at least some of them, but I do hope not all of them. It's time to let some go.

As I suspected, Rampage didn't make it to Cinema. So, it meant a little bit of digging, finding out another theater and severe hoping for an English version of it. Love and behold, we did find Mathäser! It's a fancy new movie theater center in the heart of Munich, and they do also have original versions for some of the movies! I immediately created an account for me, made the ticket reservation and off we went. Rampage was... Well, I've been following Dwayne Johnson's career ever since he became a superstar in WWE, and I've enjoyed all of his movies. Some are better than others, but all are highly entertaining. So was this. Lets not get into details such as logic... 

It was also time for something entirely new. For the very first time here in Germany I went to a car wash! Poor Furioza has been standing outside and getting very heavy cover of pollen. The washing has been a long due, and to be honest, it was so sticky that not all even got clean on the wash. Hopefully next wash will do the trick. And as it is Germany, land of cash and human work, there was a guy who cashed people. Naturally. Price for the best was was whopping 9 euros! Spot the sarcasm. 

I'm lucky enough to be blessed with friends who come to the rescue when I feel the sudden urge for some Finnish candy. I got a package late Saturday evening with all the goodies inside: Suffeli, Pätkis, Bis-Bis and Omar. Oh boy.

Olemme jälleen käyneet elokuvissa. Raahaan mieheni katsomaan lähes jokaisen uuden elokuvan sillä ovathan elokuvat minun juttuni. Kävimme katsomassa uuden Avengersin pari viikkoa sitten. Se oli hyvin, hyvin synkkä. Hyvin synkkä, paljon tappamista ja tärkeimpänä kaikesta: myös päähenkilöitä tapettiin. Ilmeisestikin ainakin osa niistä herätetään vielä henkiin, mutta toivon ettei kaikkia. On aika antaa osan mennä. 

Kuten epäilinkin, Rampage ei tullut Cinemaan. Niinpä piti kaivella vähäsen, etsiä toinen teatteri ja toivoa ankarasti että siitä olisi englanninkielinen näytös. Ja uskokaa tai älkää, löysimme Mathäserin! Se on hieno ja uusi elokuvateatterikompleksi (kuten Tennispalatsi Helsingissä) aivan Münchenin ytimessä, ja siellä on myös alkuperäisnäytöksiä! Loin välittömästi itselleni tilin, tain lippuvaraukset ja niin menimme taas elokuviin. Rampage oli... No, olen seurannut Dwayne Johnsonin uraa aina WWE:n ajoista saakka, ja olen nauttinut kaikista hänen elokuvistaan. Osa on parempia kuin toiset, mutta kaikki ovat hyvin viihdyttäviä. Niin myös tämä. Ei kuitenkaan mennä yksityiskohtiin kuten logiikkaan...

Oli aika myös kokeilla jotain aivan uutta. Ensimmäistä kertaa täällä Saksassa menin autopesulaan! Furioza-polo on seissyt ulkona ja se on ollut aivan siitepölyn peittämä. Pesuun olisi pitänyt mennä jo kauan sitten, ja rehellisyyden nimissä Furioza oli niin tahmainen ettei se kokonaan pesussa puhdistunutkaan. Toivottavasti seuraava pesu viimeistelee homman. Ja koska olemme Saksassa, käteisen ja ihmistyön luvatussa maassa, pesulassa oli työntekijä joka rahasti asiakkaat. Luonnollisesti. Parhaan pesun hinta oli huimat 9 euroa! Huomaa sarkasmi. 

Olen riittävän onnekas omatakseni ystäviä jotka rientävät apuun kun minulle iskee äkillinen himo suomalaiseen karkkiin. Sain myöhään lauantai-iltana paketin joka sisälsi herkkuja: Suffeleita, Pätkiksiä, Bis-Bis lakuja ja Omareita. Voi pojat. 

Half a year

This week we had a special day. Me and my man have been together now for six months. It's amazing how fast time has gone by, and even though half a year is not the longest time on earth by no means, it is still something I had hard time believing would ever happen. My life is full of happiness, and my heart is filled with love <3

Because of the anniversary, we went out to have a dinner at the very same place where we had our first dinner together - my birthday dinner.

And we even went for a couple of drinks afterwards! I had to take a selfie as the light in the ladies room was breathtaking.

Tällä viikolla meillä oli erikoislaatuinen päivä. Olemme olleet mieheni kanssa yhdessä nyt kuusi kuukautta. On hämmästyttävää kuinka nopeasti aika on mennyt, ja vaikka puoli vuotta ei olekaan millään muotoa maailman pisin aika, on se silti jotain jota minun oli vaikea uskoa koskaan tapahtuvaksi. Elämäni on täynnä onnea, ja sydämeni on täynnä rakkautta <3

Juhlapäivän kunniaksi menimme illalliselle siihen samaan paikkaan jossa kävimme ensimmäisen kerran illallisella - syntymäpäiväni ansiosta. 

Ja menimme jopa muutamalle drinksulle jälkeenpäin! Minun oli aivan pakko ottaa selfie sillä valo naisten vessassa oli jumalainen. 

Long weekend, part 2

And so we continued exploring Nürnberg. For me this was the very first time there, and I have to say I enjoyed the city tremendously. It was very beautiful and very compact. The center of the city is allowed only for pedestrians which makes it extremely pleasant. 

For lunch we had the traditional and famous Nürnbergers! It's wurst, wieners of sorts, and as we both are meat eaters and meat lovers, we of course wanted to try them. They were very good!! 

The restaurant for the Nürnbergers seemed to be very popular too. 

Next we went to the castle that's right there in the middle of the city. 

I have to say I enjoyed the sceneries of this city a lot. Very, very beautiful town. 

The city center is full of shops of all kinds. We wondered along the streets, popping in and out and I did do some very good findings. Some summer clothes and the cutest sneakers ever! 

For dinner we went to an Italian restaurant that was hugely recommend. For a reason, as it turned out. Easily one of the best pizzas I've ever eaten! 

Our hotel was called Das Paul and it was located right by the river. 

We had bought breakfast in advance, and it was something I've never experienced before. They didn't have a buffet like usually, but a menu that you ordered from. And boy oh boy was it delicious. I had french toast as I need to have my sugar fix. Their restaurant was fully booked as obviously it's very known for the breakfast and people come there only because of that. I'm not surprised at all. 

All in all we had great time in Nürnberg! I liked the city, the weather was very springlike and I even got to do some shopping. It was a good day.

Ja niin jatkoimme Nürnbergiin tutustumista. Minulle tämä oli ensimmäinen kerta siellä, ja on sanottava että nautin kaupungista suunnattomasti. Se oli erittäin kaunis ja hyvin kompakti. Keskusta on sallittu vain jalankulkijoille joka tekee keskustasta erittäin miellyttävän. 

Lounaaksi söimme perinteisiä nürnbergiläisiä makkaroita. Koska olemme molemmat lihansyöjiä ja lihanrakastajia, meidän piti tietenkin kokeilla niitä. Ne olivat oikein hyviä!! 

Ravintola, jossa nürnbergiläisiä söimme, vaikutti olevan myös hyvin suosittu. 

Seuraavaksi menimme linnaan joka on keskellä kaupunkia. 

On sanottava että nautin todella paljon tämän kaupungin maisemista. Erittäin, erittäin kaunis kaupunki. 

Kaupungin keskusta on täynnä kaikenlaisia kauppoja. Kuljeskelimme pitkin katuja pistäytyen silloin tällöin jossain kaupassa ja teinkin muutamia hyviä löytöjä. Joitakin kesävaatteita ja söpöimmät tossut ikinä! 

Illalliselle menimme italialaiseen ravintolaan jota oli kovasti suositeltu. Syystäkin, kuten kävi ilmi. Helposti yksi parhaista pizzoista joita olen koskaan syönyt! 

Hotellimme oli Das Paul ja se oli aivan joen varrella. 

Olimme ostaneet aamupalan etukäteen, ja se oli jotain jota en ole koskaan aiemmin kokenut. Hotellilla ei ollut buffet-pöytää kuten yleensä, vaan aamupalamenu josta tilasit. Ja voi pojat kuinka herkullista se olikaan. Otin french toastin koska tarvitsin sokeriannokseni. Ravintola oli täyteen buukattu sillä ilmeisesti se on hyvin tunnettu aamupalastaan ja ihmiset tulevat sinne vain sen takia. En ole lainkaan yllättynyt. 

Kaiken kaikkiaan meillä oli todella hauskaa Nürnbergissä! Pidin kaupungista, sää oli hyvin keväinen ja pääsin jopa hieman shoppailemaan. Se oli hyvä päivä. 

Long weekend, part 1

Couple of weeks ago we had a long weekend and there is a lot to tell! During May there is a lot of bank holidays in Germany, and often people take brückentage, bridgeday, to enjoy long weekends. For the very first time ever the puppies went to a official dog sitter for a few days. I found the sitter though an app called Pawshake, and even though everything went perfect, I was very nervous because they are my precious ones and giving them to someone else's care is not easy for me. Especially when the person is someone all new. All in all it was a very good experience, the sitter made the puppies walk more than I ever do so when we picked them up, they slept the next couple of days :D The sitter sent me updates via WhatsApp three or four times a day.

For the very first thing I did myself new nails. Back to my nature: blingy as hell and the best color!

Then we had a birthday party of one of our friends. It was some golf for the guys, some good food for all of us and in the evening some clubbing for few of us. Fun day!

As the puppies were away, we decided to make the best out of it and decided to go to Nürnberg for a day. It was almost summerly, and even though it was raining when we took off, the skies cleared off on the very same moment we arrived and after that it was nothing but pleasant weather. First we went to Zeppelinfield. Even though I'm not the biggest history freak by no means, it was pretty stunning to see this place where Nazis had their rallies. I am starting to understand a little bit better why the wound in germans is still very deep.

However, the sceneries are still very nice. And of course we needed to take holiday selfie!

Pari viikkoa sitten meillä oli pitkä viikonloppu ja onkin paljon kerrottavaa! Toukokuun aikana Saksassa on paljon pyhäpäiviä, ja usein ihmiset ottavat ns. siltavapaita nauttiakseen pitkistä viikonlopuista. Ensimmäistä kertaa ikinä ipanat menivät viralliselle koiravahdille muutamaksi päiväksi hoitoon. Löysin koiravahdin appsista nimeltä Pawshake, ja vaikka kaikki menikin täydellisesti, olin hyvin hermostunut sillä ipanat ovat rakkaimpiani ja niiden antaminen jonkun muun hoitoon ei ole minulle helppoa. Varsinkaan kun ko. henkilö on joku täysin uusi. Kaiken kaikkiaan kokemus oli oikein hyvä, ja koiravahti kävi ipanoiden kanssa pidemmillä lenkeillä kuin minä ikinä, joten kun haimme heidät takaisin kotiin, he vain nukkuivat pari seuraavaa päivää :D Koiravahti lähetti tilannetietoja kolme tai neljä kertaa päivässä.

Ensimmäiseksi tein kuitenkin itselleni uudet kynnet. Takaisin perusjuttujen äärelle: hitokseen timatteja ja paras väri!

Sitten meillä olikin erään ystävän syntymäpäiväjuhlat. Pojat menivät golfaamaan, kaikki me söimme hyvin ja illalla menimme vielä juhlimaan. Hauska päivä!

Koska ipanat olivat poissa, päätimme ottaa siitä kaiken irti ja menimme retkelle Nürnbergiin. Oli lähes kesäistä, ja vaikka satoikin kun lähdimme, taivas selkeni sillä hetkellä kun pääsimme perille ja sen jälkeen sää pysyikin erittäin miellyttävänä. Ensimmäiseksi menimme Zeppelinfieldille. Vaikken olekaan kovin innostunut historiasta, oli se melko uskomatonta nähdä paikka jossa natsit pitivät kokouksiaan. Alan ymmärtämään hieman paremmin miksi menneisyyden haavat ovat edelleen saksalaisissa syviä.

Maisemat olivat kuitenkin oikein kauniita. Ja tottakai meidän täytyi ottaa lomaselfie!
