BBQs, Hugos and cheesecakes

This spring has been a lot chillier than last year's. It's a shame - I still haven't taken out my motorbike not even once! My man has driven his bike only few times as well, and it's almost June already. Coming weekend we have a few days off, so lets keep fingers crossed that the weather would be warm, and gardening finally ceased to maintaining instead of slavery. Last weekend on Sunday it was finally sunny enough to have breakfast outside.

Days have been busy and long. Lots of things in flux at work, but still impossible to see how things will eventually fold. Last weekend we had guests - couple of girls from work came to visit! It was a great evening with good food, good company and lots of laughter. One of the girls is very much into whiskey, and obviously my man treated her well and they tasted several ones from his collection.

And this weekend I had even more guests! Girls from work came to visit again as my man was in Finland. We cooked, laughed, drank some Hugos and had a blast. It has taken three years to get to this point, but finally I can say that life is good. In several fronts, and damn that is good. 

Today it was pretty warm and sunny, so I did again gardening. I had bought some more summer flowers, pots and I had seedlings of my own that needed to be transferred to bigger pots. My back is sore now, but it was also great fun. I took a picture of the puppies - they often keep me company when I'm outside. We have beds for them outside, and inside it feels that the whole house is a giant dog bed. But despite of all these beds, where do they lay outside? In the concrete flooring and on top of a plastic bag. Go figure.

Tämä kevät on ollut paljon viileämpi kuin viime vuoden kevät. Se on sääli - en ole vielä kertaakaan ottanut mopoani edes ajoon! Mieheni on ajanut vain muutaman kerran hänkin, ja ollaan jo melkein kesäkuussa. Tulevana viikonloppuna meillä on muutama päivä vapaata, joten toivotaan että sää olisi lämmin, ja pihatyöt vihdoin siinä mallissa että ollaan siirrytty orjuudesta ylläpitoon. Viime sunnuntaina oli vihdoin tarpeeksi lämmintä jotta saatoimme syödä aamupalan ulkona. 

Päivät ovat olleet pitkiä ja kiireisiä. Töissä moni asia on murroksessa, mutta edelleen on mahdotonta sanoa miten asiat lopulta järjestyvät. Viime viikonloppuna meillä oli vieraita - pari tyttöä studiolta tuli vierailulle! Ilta oli täynnä hyvää ruokaa, hyvää seuraa ja paljon naurua. Yksi tytöistä on kovin innostunut viskeistä, joten luonnollisesti mieheni piti hänestä huolta ja he maistelivat useita viskejä mieheni kokoelmasta.

Ja tänä viikonloppuna minulla oli vieläkin enemmän vieraita! Tytöt töistä tulivat uudestaan vierailulle sillä mieheni oli Suomessa. Teimme ruokaa, nauroimme, joimme muutamat Hugot ja meillä oli huikean hauskaa. On kestänyt kolme vuotta päästä tähän pisteeseen, mutta vihdoinkin voin sanoa että elämä on hyvää. Monellakin eri rintamalla, ja hitto se on jees.

Tänään oli melko lämmintä ja aurinkoista,  joten touhusin jälleen puutarhassa. Olin ostanut lisää kesäkukkia, ruukkuja ja minulla oli myös omia taimia jotka odottivat pääsyä isompiin ruukkuihin. Selkäni on nyt kipeä, mutta olipa hauskaa. Otin ipanoista kuvan - ne pitävät useasti minulle seuraa kun touhuan pihalla. Meillä on niille sängyt ulkona, ja sisätiloissa tuntuu että koko talo on yhtä isoa koiransänkyä. Kaikista näistä sängyistä huolimatta arvatkaa missä ne makoilevat ulkona? Betonilaatoituksella ja muovisäkin päällä. Ota nyt tästäkin jotain tolkkua.
