Happy New Year

Happy New Year 2019 everybody! We spent our New Year's eve with friends having a great dinner and lots of laughs and good time.

We also had an extra dog in our pack, and despite Hannibal being her usual self, we all got along great. The fireworks were tough on two of the dogs, but to my utter astonishment Hirmu had no problems with the sounds. Hannibal in the other hand ran against a door when she got very afraid and for a while we thought we need to take her to the vet as she was I guess dizzy from the impact. Quickly she turned out to be ok, but she sure did give us a heart attack.

During the day I had some time to do my crafting. I've had this beautiful decoration for a long time, but the original lights finally died earlier this year. I got some new lights, and fixed them onto the decoration. The end result is very pretty!

Today we did go to the movies to see the latest Spiderman. It was an animation, and it was breathtaking, amazing and simple awesome. The style, the look, the visuals... I haven't seen such camera work in ages!! Pure beauty. 

All in all it has been a good year. It was very eventful. We have been enjoying time spent together with my man. We traveled to Santorini and Finland, we did several super fun bike tours but more importantly we have enjoyed the everyday life. I have continued studying German and I had my good friend visiting me. We also found a new home, we moved and now we get to enjoy our own garden and fireplace. Not to mention the atelier! At work it was more turbulence, but I'm confident that this year will see certain pieces fall together. I did hope for the year 2018 more calm waters. All in all I think I got what I asked for. May 2019 be gentle and warm to us all.

Hyvää Uutta Vuotta 2019 jokaiselle! Vietimme Uuden Vuoden aattomme ystävien kanssa nauttien hyvästä illallisesta naurun kera. 

Meillä oli myös ylimääräinen koira laumassamme, ja huolimatta siitä että Hannibal on oma itsensä, me tulimme toimeen vallan mainiosti. Ilotulitteet olivat raskaita kahdelle koirista, mutta hämmästyksekseni Hirmulla ei ollut ongelmia räjähdysten suhteen. Hannibal sen sijaan juoksi ovea päin kun se pelästyi kovasti ja hetken aikaa luulimme että meidän pitää viedä Hannibal lääkäriin sillä se oli hieman sekaisin ilmeisesti törmäyksen voimasta. Nopeasti se taas tokeni, mutta sai totisesti meille sydänkohtauksen.

Päivällä minulla oli aikaa tehdä vähän askarteluhommia. Minulla on ollut tämä kaunis koriste jo pitkään, mutta alkuperäiset valot vihdoin kuolivat aiemmin tänä vuonna. Ostin uudet valot, ja kiinnitin ne koristeeseen. Lopputulos on todella nätti!

Tänään kävimme elokuvissa katsomassa uusimman Spidermanin. Se oli animaatio, ja se oli henkeäsalpaava, upea ja yksinkertaisesti mahtava. Tyyli, ilme, visuaalisuus... En ole nähnyt tällaista kameran käyttöä aikoihin!! Silkkaa kauneutta.

Kaiken kaikkiaan tämä on ollut hyvä vuosi. Se oli todella tapahtumarikas. Olemme nauttineet yhteisestä ajasta mieheni kanssa. Matkustimme Santorinille ja Suomeen, teimme useita todella kivoja moporeissuja, mutta kaikesta tärkeimpänä olemme nauttineet arjesta. Olen jatkanut saksan opintojani ja sain hyvän ystäväni vierailulle. Löysimme myös uuden kodin, muutimme ja nyt meillä on oma puutarha ja takka. Puhumattakaan ateljeesta! Töissä oli enemmän turbulenssia, mutta olen vakuuttunut siitä että tänä vuonna tietyt palaset loksahtavat kohdalleen. Toivoin vuodelle 2018 rauhallisempia vesiä. Kaiken kaikkiaan luulen että sain sen mitä pyysin. Olkoon 2019 lempeä ja lämmin meille kaikille.
