Movies, burgers and washing machines

As suspected, it has been a busy week. Wednesday we had a date night with my man, and we went for a great burger and to see Suicide Squad. Couldn't have asked for a better and funnier evening!

Also my order from German online store arrived. I ordered food for my puppies and some treats. The site was completely in German, and I handled it by sheer luck and Google translate. It is possible that something went wrong - the food was what it was supposed to be, but there might have been slight error with the amount of treats :D I wonder how long it'll take before two chihuahuas are through that pile :D 

My puppies went also to the doctor for the first time for a check up. Both are fine but had one extra vaccination to a disease we don't have in Finland. My man took us there by his bike. Puppies were happy in their back bag and it caused quite a laughter when the people at the clinic realized that two chihuahuas are motorbike-traveling chihuahuas :)

On top of this my new washing machine arrived! Naturally there were problems with this too, such as too small doorway to get the old one out without tearing down the door... But in the end we managed it, my man installed it and we did plenty of laundry immediately! 

We also cut his hair, so now we are alike :D 

Tomorrow I will have a good friend from Finland visiting me for the weekend. How cool is that!

Kuten epäilinkin, viikko on ollut kiireinen. Keskiviikkona meillä oli mieheni kanssa treffi-ilta, ja menimme erittäin hyville hampurilaisille ja elokuviin katsomaan Suicide Squad. En olisi voinut parempaa ja hauskempaa iltaa pyytää! 

Myös tilaukseni saksalaisesta nettikaupasta saapui. Tilasin ruokaa ja herkkuja koirilleni. Sivusto oli kokonaan saksaksi, ja hoitelin tilauksen teon silkalla onnella ja Google kääntäjän avulla. On mahdollista että jotain meni vikaan - ruoka oli sitä mitä pitikin, mutta saattaa olla että herkkujen määrässä tuli virhe :D Ihmettelen kauanko menee että kaksi chihuahuaa ovat tuhonneet tuon läjän :D 

Koirani kävivät ensimmäistä kertaa eläinlääkärillä tarkastuksessa. Molemmat ovat kunnossa, mutta saivat ylimääräiset rokotukset tautiin jota meillä ei Suomessa ole. Mieheni vei meidät sinne prätkällään. Koirat olivat tyytyväisiä repussaan ja aiheutimme melkoista hilpeyttä eläinlääkäriasemalla kun ihmiset tajusivat että kaksi chihua ovat moottoripyöräileviä chihuja :)

Tämän lisäksi uusi pesukoneeni saapui! Luonnollisesti senkin kanssa oli ongelmia, kuten liian pieni oviaukko vanhan koneen ulos saamiseksi ilman oven hajottamista... Mutta loppujen lopuksi onnistuimme, mieheni asensi sen ja pesimme välittömästi kasapäin pyykkiä!

Leikkasimme myös hänen hiuksensa, joten nyt olemme samikset :D 

Huomenna saan hyvän ystävän Suomesta vierailulle viikonlopuksi. Kuinka mahtavaa se onkaan! 

Traveling

So I went to Hamburg yesterday. I was supposed to be there for three days. Originally I was supposed to visit Finland this weekend, and I cancelled it for this meeting that took place in Hamburg.

In the end the meeting lasted three HOURS and I came back home on the same day. But, I got to see some old colleagues which was extremely great!

This week is still packed with adventures and action. Puppies will go to the vet, I should have my new washing machine delivered and installed this week... On the weekend I will have a friend coming to visit me from Finland. On top of that we're planning of spending one day together with my man. Lets see how it all pans out, but updates are coming!

Menin eilen Hampuriin. Minun piti olla siellä kolme päivää. Alunperin minun piti käydä Suomessa viikonloppuna, mutta peruutin sen kokouksen takia joka tapahtui Hampurissa.

Loppujen lopuksi kokous kesti kolme TUNTIA ja tulin takaisin samana päivänä. Mutta, tapasin vanhoja kollegoita joka oli erittäin mahtavaa!

Tämä viikko on silti täynnä seikkailuja ja toimintaa. Koirat menevät eläinlääkärille, minun pitäisi saada uusi pesukoneeni toimitettua ja asennettua... Viikonloppuna saan ystävän Suomesta vierailulle. Kaiken tämän lisäksi suunnittelemme viettävämme yhden päivän yhdessä mieheni kanssa. Katsotaan miten kaikki tästä sutviintuu, mutta päivityksiä pukkaa!

Weekend

So this weekend my man took me to his hometown. I took a train and he picked me up - at least that was the plan. I did take the train, but because everything is so goddamn difficult here, I ended up taking the wrong END of the train. In the end he picked me up at the airport which was where I found myself... Frustrates me to pieces that I can't even understand how the train system works.

Anyways, off we went and did some pretty cool sightseeing too. Went to this hill to have an overview of the whole city.

Then we went to see this one castle because I love castles.

Then it was time to hit the mini-Oktoberfest and also see the town. It was very beautiful, very lively and very inviting place. I enjoyed it tremendously. It has a very small train station :)

We went to the ferris wheel to get a great overview of the festival. 

And of course we took a selfie :) Overall it was one super great weekend. I enjoyed it tremendously and it was great to meet his family. The city was extremely nice, the sceneries even nicer and goddamn it feels good to be back on the bike again even though I don't drive myself. And last but certainly not the least the company was the best :)

Tänä viikonloppuna mieheni vei minut kotikaupunkiinsa. Menin junalla ja hän tuli hakemaan - tai ainakin se oli suunnitelma. Meninkin junalla, mutta koska kaikki on niin helvetin vaikeaa täällä, päädyin väärään päähän junaa. Loppujen lopuksi hän nouti minut lentokentältä josta itseni löysin. Turhauttaa niin valtavan paljon etten edes tajua miten junat täällä toimivat.

Joka tapauksessa pääsimme matkaan ja käytiin katsomassa muutamia varsin kivoja nähtävyyksiä. Mentiin kukkulalle josta näki koko kaupungin.

Sitten kävimme katsomassa linnaa koska rakastan linnoja. 

Sitten oli aika mennä mini-Oktoberfesteille ja nähdä kaupunkia. Se oli todella kaunis, erittäin eläväinen ja erittäin kutsuva paikka. Nautin siitä suunnattomasti. Kaupungin juna-asema on hyvin pieni :)

Menimme maailmanpyörään jotta saimme mahtavan näkymän tapahtumasta. 

Ja tottakai otimme selfien :) Kaiken kaikkiaan viikonloppu oli supermahtava. Nautin siitä suunnattomasti ja oli mahtavaa tavata hänen perheensä. Kaupunki oli todella kiva, maisemat vielä kivemmat ja hitto tuntuu hyvältä olla takaisin pyörän selässä vaikken ajakaan itse. Ja viimeisimpänä muttei suinkaan vähäisimpänä seura oli parasta :)

Quiet days

For a few days it's been quiet here. Not much going on other than basic days. However, don't you worry: weekend and next week are entirely a different thing!

First my doggies are going to stay over with studio's secretary while I'm traveling.

Second my man is taking me to see his hometown and meet his parents. I can't wait, but it makes me pretty nervous.

Third I will be going to Hamburg next week to a production meeting.

And on top of this my doggies will also go to their first German veterinarian check-up before Hirmu goes under her dental surgery! So next week is nothing but updates!

I wanted to end this much-a-do-nothing post on a humorous note. I always imagined myself under a palm tree if I ever would move to abroad. I guess it's a palm tree even if it's in a pot :D

Viime päivät ovat olleet hiljaisia. Ei juuri muuta kuin perusarkea. Mutta älkää huoliko: viikonloppu ja ensi viikko ovatkin ihan eri asia!

Ensiksi koirat menevät sihteerille hoitoon siksi aikaa kun matkustan.

Toiseksi mieheni vie minut kotikaupunkiinsa ja tapaamaan vanhempiaan. En malta odottaa, mutta se saa minut melko hermostuneeksi.

Kolmanneksi menen ensi viikolla Hampuriin tuotantopalaveriin.

Ja kaiken tämän lisäksi koirat menevät ensimmäistä kertaa saksalaiselle eläinlääkärille tarkastukseen ennen Hirmun hammasleikkausta! Joten ensi viikko ei ole muuta kuin päivityksiä!

Halusin päättää tämän paljon melua tyhjästä -postauksen humoristisesti. Olen aina kuvitellut itseni palmun alle jos ulkomaille joskus muuttaisin. Kai ruukussa oleva palmu kelpaa :D

Lake Tegernsee

Today my man took me to lake Tegernsee. The sceneries on the way there were straight from a postcard - mountains in the horizon, small mountain villages on the left and right. The weather was amazing, and the lake itself - goddamn. Very, very beautiful. Full of tourists (like me), but beautiful.

We had, simply put it, awesome time. He is an awesome man. I had to come all the way to Germany to find him, but I couldn't be happier that I did.

Tänään mieheni vei minut Tegernsee-järvelle. Maisemat matkalla sinne olivat kuin suoraan postikortista - vuoret horisontissa, pieniä vuoristokyliä oikealla ja vasemmalla. Sää oli upea, ja järvi itsessään - hittolainen. Erittäin, erittäin kaunis. Täynnä turisteja (kuten minä), mutta kaunis. 

Meillä oli, yksinkertaisesti sanottuna, ihan mahtavaa. Hän on mahtava mies. Minun piti tulla Saksaan saakka löytääkseni hänet, mutta en voisi olla onnellisempi että löysin. 

Laundry

Today was a laundry day. I do have a washing machine at my loft, but like everything else, it doesn't work. And it is old as hell, so the chances me using it are very slim. I have one colleague who is a godsend, and she borrowed her spare keys so that I could use the laundry room at her building. It worked fine. It's not a permanent solution, but at least the acute laundry crisis is solved.

But goddamn this country drives me mad. Why everything has to be so goddamn difficult?? I went to get groceries, and it honestly took me 10 minutes to find cream. I even had a translator app to help me, but OF COURSE cream in this country is not "creme" like my app suggested, but something entirely different, impossible-to-pronounce.

But, while I waited for the washing machine to do its magic, I found this great ice cream bar in the neighborhood. So the outcome wasn't that bad: I had clean laundry AND ice cream. Could be worse :)

Tänään oli pyykkipäivä. Asunnossani on pesukone, mutta kuten kaikki muukin, sekään ei toimi. Sen lisäksi se on niin vanha, että todennäköisyydet sille että käyttäisin sitä, ovat todella pienet. Minulla on onneksi kollega joka pelasti elämäni, ja hän lainasi vara-avaintaan jotta pystyn käyttämään talonsa pesutupaa. Se toimi mainiosti. Eihän tämä pysyvä ratkaisu ole, mutta ainakin akuutti pyykkikriisi on ratkaistu. 

Mutta jumalauta tämä maa tekee minut hulluksi. Miksi helkkarissa kaiken pitää olla niin hiton vaikeaa??? Menin ruokakauppaan, ja vei oikeasti 10 minuuttia jotta löysin kerman. Ja minulla oli apunani jopa käännös appsi, mutta TIETENKÄÄN kerma ei tässä maassa ole "creme" kuten appsi ehdotti vaan ihan jotain muuta lausumiskelvotonta. 

Mutta, sillä aikaa kun odotin että pesukone tekee taikojaan, löysin mahtavan jäätelöbaarin ihan naapurustosta. Lopputulos ei siis ollut ihan huono: sain puhdasta pyykkiä JA jäätelöä. Voisi olla huonomminkin :)

Confession

I have a confession to make. I have an addiction.

I went to the center to get new luggage that is desperately needed for my next trip. I got that, but also something else.

Menin keskustaan ostaakseni uuden matkalaukun jota tarvitaan kipeästi seuraavalle reissulle. Sain sen, mutta myös jotain muuta. 

Antaa syksyn tulla, minä olen valmis!
