Weekend

Yesterday I took Hirmu for her first post-op check-up. She is healing well, but the vet wants to see her one more time. The surgery was so big that he wants to make sure she will make a full recovery. He also showed me her x-rays. The condition of her teeth was horrendous. The was severe boneloss and pockets at the root of almost every tooth full of puss. No wonder her breath stank like death. The bone will heal itself now that the infected tissue has been removed and infection cleared. We already booked the next operation: on January 16th they will perform the second dental surgery to remove the rest of the infected teeth.

Yesterday I went to visit this great Finnish family whom I met now few times. We watched Finnish tv-show, had great fun and talked a lot. Very nice evening!

Today I've been doing crafts. I made new harnesses for the puppies for the old ones have started to get too worn. I also finished a new beanie and a scarf to match.

Next week is extremely exiting! I'm packing my bags and flying to Toronto for a business trip. I will be gone for almost week and a half. I'm super exited!

Eilen vein Hirmun ensimmäiseen leikkauksen jälkeiseen tarkastukseen. Hirmu paranee hyvin, mutta eläinlääkäri haluaa nähdä sen vielä kerran. Leikkaus oli niin iso, että lääkäri haluaa varmistaa Hirmun toipuvan täysin. Lääkäri näytti minulle myös Hirmun röntgenkuvat. Sen hampaiden tilanne oli järkyttävä. Suussa oli vakava luukato ja melkein jokaisen hampaan juuressa pussi täynnä mätää. Ei ihme että Hirmun hengitys haisi kuolemalle. Luu parantaa itsensä nyt kun tulehtunut kudos on poistettu ja tulehdus saatu kuriin. Varasimme jo ajan seuraavalle leikkaukselle: 16.pv tammikuuta Hirmun loput tulehtuneet hampaat leikataan.

Eilen kävin vierailulla suomalaisen perheen luona jonka olen nyt tavannut muutaman kerran. Katsoimme suomalaisen tv-ohjelman, pidimme hauskaa ja puhuimme paljon. Oikein hauska ilta!

Tänään olen tehnyt käsitöitä. Ompelin uudet valjaat ipanoille sillä vanhat ovat jo kovin käytetyt. Sain valmiiksi myös uuden pipon ja siihen sopivan huivin.

Ensi viikko on erittäin jännittävä! Pakkaan laukkuni ja lennän Torontoon työmatkalle. Olen reissussa melkein puolitoista viikkoa. Olen todella innoissani!
