Good news and bad news

Bad news first. So I went to a different doctor this week. My assistant searched and found one doctor that was recommended by foreigners. I was optimistic that maybe this doctor would actually give a shit.

He really did not. I told him about my sleeping problem, and that the cause is most likely the high level of stress in my life. He insisted that München is a great city, and when I told about my experiences, he still argued that I am wrong. In the end he didn't ask me a single question about my overall health, no blood tests, nothing. He just immediately gave me a prescription for sleeping pills, said that if you take them for five days you don't get addicted and hopefully the five days will help to kickstart my sleeping rhythm. If not, then he would like to start a steady anti-depress medication! Which is just crazy - I am not depressed. I am not stupid. I've done the depression tests internet is full of, and I barely get few points. I understand that the anti-depress medication in small dozes help you sleep, but they also alter the chemical balance of your brain. He didn't offer anything else, no specialists, nothing. Not even a follow-up appointment. Today I went to the pharmacy to pick up my sleeping  pills... Now I just have to decide whether to take them or not.

And the good news? The heating is back on! They were able to fix it on Friday and now it is again warm. On top of that I went running today! I haven't ran in a long time, and boy did it feel good! After the shittiest possible week at work, it is nice to do something I enjoy.

*****

Huonot uutiset ensin.

Lämmitys on jälleen toiminnassa!
